Sal and her cousins had a great time leaping over waves and playing in the sand at the beach house.
I have almost no pictures of our time at Hebgen. Here's the t shirt Sal made, I wish I had pictures of them all. We had a great time playing in the lake and visiting with Scott's side of the family.
Scott and I left Sal with Laura and went on a backpacking trip through the Escalante river to Death Hallow. It was great. (It's amazing how all the miserable parts fade from memory over time, the 20 miles were grueling.)
We hiked the whole first day along the Escalante river and then into Death Hallow. The water was beautiful, so were the cliffs and red rock and arches.

Our campsite. It was serene and beautiful until we heard the crashing of some big animal in the brush at dusk near our tent. We thought we might get eaten, but we didn't.
We had some freeze dried Pad Thai. It was really gross. We don't recommend it.

Before we left Utah we went to a lake for Becky's birthday.

i've had many water/hiking sandals and chacos are the worst for hiking in water.
