Sal turned 5 last week. I asked her if she wishes she was still 4. She said," no, but I do wish I had a mom who let me have Barbies and princesses and pink." Poor girl. Well, you can't have everything.
She did get special birthday breakfast:

She played with birthday toys. (Here she's dancing to music played on the CD player from Grandma. They were self-entertained for record breaking time.)
We threw a Kitty birthday party. This involved making ears and tails for 12 children. Whew...
oh my gosh I love her and it is incomprehensible that she is 5 years old. Well then, if she has to be 5 then she is my favorite 5 year old ever. That kitchen is ridiculously awesome-
also, would you kill me if I sent Sal a barbie? :) kidding

she may not get girly things but she gets the best of everything else--that play kitchen is awesome!
