Snowy Day

Today it snowed a lot. Sal and I were stuck inside together all day. It started off fine. Scott left for school on his skiis:

Sal then attached herself to my leg.

We cleaned up the house, folded laundry, and got dressed, all to the chorus of "hold me, hoooold me!!!!"

Then I got a call from the school where I teach in the afternoons. School was closed because of weather. I knew then it would be a long day.

We read stories, played with dolls, jumped on the trampoline.

It was only 9:00.

So we made cookies. Every time Sal said "hold me!!!" or "comere!" I said, "Sal, go check and see if the cookies are done!" It worked for a couple minutes.

Then I decided to wear her down outside. She had a great time falling in the snow, laughing, then she'd say "help me!" and I'd put her back on her feet. I was the one ready for a nap when we came back in.

After nap time we made bread and soup for supper. Scott came home, scooped Sal up and washed the dishes. Then it was bedtime.

Actually it wasn't a bad day.

But thank goodness for bedtime.
