Really long post

This month has been crazy. We moved, went to Chicago, Salt Lake City, and Boise. So here are some pictures to get you caught up:

Fathers Day:

Isn't he great?

Potty training... the secret to success is apparently M&M guy.

Chicago: We met Val in Chicago to go to the Tumbleweed Tiny House Workshop. It was awesome. We're going to build one this summer on my parents' land in Maine. Here's what one looks like, but go here to see more. Isn't it cute?

Scott took Sal to the zoo and to the beach while Val and I were at the workshop. Scott fell in love with Chicago, and his new dream in life is to be a stay at home dad in the city.

Parking in Chicago was crazy. It was $48 per day at our hotel. Scott drove all around until he found something better.

Val and I in Chicago:

Sal is still asking for Val.

We got back from Chicago late on Sunday night, then Sal and I flew to Salt Lake City early Monday morning. We stayed with Laura and visited with family. Here we are at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. (It was beautiful.)

We went swimming:

Here are the Smiths. Bekah and Emma took great care of Sal. Thanks guys!

I left Sal with the Smiths and flew to Boise. THANKS LAURA!!!!!!!

Boise was awesome. We finally got our feet wet (literally) in some white water.

Here's a video of me trying to roll... unsuccessfully. Dan says I was supposed to go around the hole. The good news is that I had many more chances to practice (I couldn't seem to stay upright) and I think I've got it down. Trying to roll in white water is like trying to roll in a washing machine. By the end of the day I felt like I had water in my nose, stomach, lungs and brain. Scott was better at staying up, but he managed a roll on our last run.

Here I am after the swim. We're lucky we had Dan to rescue us and drain our kayaks. Thanks Dan.
Scott in his biohazard suit:
Dan and Scott finishing a run:

After a couple days in Boise, we flew back to Salt Lake and went to Becky's wedding.

Random picture of Scott home from the hospital. Doesn't he look cool?

This week we went to our neighborhood porch festival. We heard some interesting bands.

We also went to the Kirtland Strawberry festival, which I pictured like a farmers market, but it ended up being more like a traveling amusement park. Oh well, Sal liked the merry-go-round.
We moved across town. I hate moving. And I'm never doing it again. So you're all just going to have to visit us in Cleveland.

Sal loved the moving truck.

Actually, the move was worth it because I LOVE our new apartment and our new neighborhood. Here are some pictures.

No dishwasher, but I'm surprised that I like it better that way... if I keep up with it, we always have clean dishes instead of waiting for the dishwasher to fill up before running it, meanwhile we have no spoons.

Look at that organized closet. Aren't you proud of me?

Sal has her own room. I love having all the toys out of the way.

Yes, she's still sleeping in a pack and play. I need to get her a bed, but it's so nice that she still can't get out. At least it's an upgrade from the closet.

Back yard with a sandbox! We love it.

Okay, that's all. Whew.

P.S. All the big pictures (from Mary Irene) got cut in half and I can't figure out how to fix them, so if you got cut out of a picture I'm sorry!

I kept holding my breath, waiting for you to pop up- wow! You can go a lot longer than me & I would have been so panicked. We had so much fun having you and keeping Sal. It was the highlight of that week for us! She's such a doll & so precocious. Glad you made it back home safely after the miles you covered!
