Sorry for the long delay in posts. Our camera is officially dead, and iphone pictures just don't do it for me. But so much has happened in the past month that I thought I'd post some anyway.
This has been a great couple weeks for Scott and Sal. Scott has been on Spring break, and so Sal has gotten a lot of extra Daddy time. She's been picking out her own clothes lately and frequently dresses in what she calls "Daddy clothes."
Scott does all kinds of play with Sal that she doesn't get from me. Sorry Sal, I just don't fit in that tunnel.
Exercises with Dad.
A couple months ago my friend Holly tipped me off to Disney's "Give a Day, Get a Day" program. If you volunteer for one of their approved programs, then they give you free Disney World tickets. I don't love Disney World, but Scott thought it wouldn't hurt to get the tickets in case it worked out for us to go to Florida this year. So I made a couple blankets for the hospital (Scott "helped") and got the tickets. Here are the blankets (they're almost identical):
I had a heck of a time figuring out how to bind these. It took me four tries on the first one, and I don't love ripping stitches, but I think I've mostly got it figured out now.
Scott helping:
So I made the blankets, got the tickets, and then came the dilemma... do we go to Florida to use them? If you know Scott, you know he hates to pass on a good deal, and passing on free Disney World tickets was just too much for him. Plus it just so happened that Scott's parents were going to be in Florida during Scott's spring break, and it just so happened that there was space in their condo for us to stay with them. (Thanks Ann and Brian!!!!!) So off we went to Florida, and I have to say, I'm so glad we went. The sun was such a relief from the gray Cleveland winter. Plus Sal got to bask in our undivided attention. Little does she know how things are about to change.
Sal and Scott were in and out of the water about 50 times each day at the beach. Sal was in heaven.
Sal dug and dug in the sand. I was surprised she didn't need any entertaining.
Sal got lots of attention from Grandma and Grandpa.
Maybe we should move to Florida.
On our last day in Florida we went to Orlando to Disney World. Wow, the lines were long. But Scott and Sal really enjoyed themselves.
