Christmas 2013

I don't like Christmas. I know. The pressure, the expectations, the quickly discarded toys taking up space in my tiny house. But if I ditch it, I'm the worst mom ever. This year we had pre-Christmas at our house and then drove to Utah on Christmas Eve. We decided to do two presents for each child, and they were happy. Now looking back I struggle with whether or not it was worth it. The toys were briefly used, but they had fun opening presents. If I gave them something practical it wouldn't be very exciting. Blah. I guess I have a couple months to figure it out for this year. Maybe we'll go somewhere fun and call it Christmas.
Here's the train set we thought for SURE would be loved all year. Mostly it gets thrown on the floor. But he was so cute with it at first.
Sal got a horse for her American Girl Doll and played with it quite a bit.
Okay, well these were well loved and used:
And the gum was quickly eaten and swallowed.

Slap watch. Broke the first day.
Well, that was pretty negative. My goal for this year- either make Christmas better somehow or have a better attitude. Bah. Humbug.
