Sal go to hospital

I'm guessing that for Sal, the hospital is a wondrous and mysterious place, a place I'm always running off to and coming home from (Laura: usage deliberate). She finally got a taste of it the other day when she and Kate met me in the food court during my break. Then yesterday she saw the outside. She saw the Life Flight fly over, and now she understands that that's where helicopters go.

Today I was reading her a book about going to school when you get older, and she said, "I go to school with you?" I said yes, and she said, "I go to hospital." I think that means she wants to go to medical school.

A few pages later there was a picture of a moon and she said, "Moon go to hospital?" Helicopters and moons are so much alike--both of them can be found in the sky, among other similarities. Depending on your perspective, the moon can be found at our house and not too much later at the hospital. So I told her yes; I figure it's her version of Laura's profound childhood observation at McDonald's so many years ago.

(Sorry, the last one got published before it was finished.)
MaryIrene- she'll be pretty busy playing all the instruments in the orchestra- hopefully she'll have time for med school too!
Scott- I'm flattered to be featured so prominently in your post! I hope everyone knows that I don't read blogs with my red pencil in hand! (Luckily, no one will ever know if my eyes squint at their grammar, spelling & usage occasionally. I hope you'll all be as tolerant with me! Ha-ha!)
